Nursing Homes

Serving in the nursing home ministry is a privilege. Although we go to be a blessing, we often receive the blessing as well. We are shown great love, appreciation, and thankfulness by the dear seniors and their staff. Our arrival is met with great anticipation and faithfulness by the senior saints that love God and tearfully miss the opportunity to go to church. We are greeted with big smiles, waving hands, and hugs. They especially love when children visit, and are delighted when children come to sing for them.

We are also reminded of their great need for the Lord, and the encouragement that they seek during this time of their lives. Many do not have any visitors throughout the week. Through the years, we are saddened to watch their health deteriorate. Yet, what joy and rejoicing to know of the ones that trust the Lord. We praise the Lord that we are able to bring church to those that are unable to attend.
